xgamehero won the Support Job achievement in Final Fantasy XI for 5 points.
It speaks for itself. No, it is not a hard achievement, but it is a great milestone. This achievement marks the true beginning to FFXI for me. I am now and forever bound to this game, and I must complete it. No turning back!
Change of topics, Curtis (The Real Tizz / Tizz) had his Basic Training Graduation ceremony two days ago, which Faith and I attended. It was a fun day, as we got to see and talk, and hang out with our best friend all day. I'm sad though, because he's off to AIT for the next 3 months. Good times were had. We miss you!
Gaming status as of lately has only been Forza 2 and FFXI; I haven't really felt compelled to do much else considering we had to travel and everything. I'll pickup some resolution ach's soon, though. As of 30 minutes ago, Faith ordered some holiday presents - presumably off of Amazon.com. I'll be guessing until the 25th of December, although I have a strong feeling of what it -might- be.
At any rate, little progress has been made. Good news is, now that FFXI is solidified on my TA account, I can see accurate stats - Still above 80% completion, though only barely. Lots more Forza 2 and FFXI.
Update: Just got a call from Curtis - Thank god I wont have to communicate via written letters anymore, he can now use internet/phone in his spare time! Woohoo!

Final Fantasy XI: Introduction
*Mini-Update*
I started Final Fantasy XI the other day, and I created a page to specifically track my progress - at the top of this page, click "Final Fantasy XI" to view it! It won't be very interesting as of right now, but it's definitely a start. I created a separate page specifically for FFXI because I honestly think posting my progress here will flood this section. More info can be found on the FFXI page.
As for now, FFXI will be consuming majority of my gaming time. However, I am still working on the resolution, and other games as well (Forza Motorsport 2 is among them). I'm also getting an urge to hop back onto Kongregate; so there will be much activity in the coming days/weeks. Expect a full update before Nov. 4th, and hopefully some interesting news/info.
Much to come!

100% Costume Quest [XBLA]
Boo! It's that time of year, where things get a little scary - and perhaps a little tasty! Since my last post, I've been on an epic adventure to obtain two games; Costume Quest and Final Fantasy XI. I'll detail the journey below...
Final Fantasy XI, being one of the only two MMORPGS for the Xbox 360, excited me. Although I had given thought to it in the past, a sudden urge to play it hit me one day. And the urge was fierce. Bad enough that I was reduced to mere begging and pleading with Faith to agree to order us two copies. After waiting nearly a week, the order was placed Oct. 18th, and arrived today (Oct. 26th). After nearly 6 hours of sign-ups, registrations, installs, and downloads, around 5 pm I was logged into the world of Vana'diel. Although the graphics could use a makeover (I know, the game was made back in like 1760) it seems very indepth, and will assuredly take me many months to even grasp the concept of earning an achievement. I think the sheer amount of work and effort involved in earning all the achievements is what drastically attracted me to the game. That, and the fact that it's something Faith and I could both play and (more than likely) enjoy.
Costume Quest. I heard about this game a month or so ago, and I completely forgot about it until I had signed up for Bing Rewards Preview, and subsequently received 400 free Microsoft Points. On the hunt for a new game, I stumbled across it. After spending like 3 hours playing the trial (longer than I've spent on full arcade games, or even retail games), I decided that I could not live without it. It's cute, fun, and exciting. So I struggled to get more MSP from the Bing Rewards program, and finally I achieved the 1,200 MSP price-point yesterday. Sadly, I finished the game just moments ago. Short lived, but well, well worth it.
In other news, I started Forza Motorsport 2 recently. This is another game I had been anticipating playing (I've had it for several months now - shame on me?). It's fun, and I haven't played a racing game in a while so, woohoo. Also started Banjo Kazooie (thanks Curtis!) - ahh the nostalgia. I'm almost finished with it as well. But I am enjoying every savory minute of it. Can't beat the classics.
Last item on the list...or rather, two items...
-Level 30 from Phantasy Star 2
-Big in Japan from Rock Band
That lands me at a cool 62/100, with 38 items to go. I realized the 80 games complete goal will probably be a bit hefty, especially since I just got FFXI. I may reduce the goals down to a "70" theme; 70 completed games, 70k GS, 70/100 resolutions, etc. But it'll for-sure stay at 80% completion regardless. We'll see what happens!
Until next time - Happy Halloween!

100% Two Worlds
100% Phantasy Star Universe
100% Assault Heroes [XBLA]
Let me start off by catching up. The past few days have been filled with boosting and gaming. I've boosted Resident Evil 5 Versus wins, Castle Crasher's Arena wins, and Shadowrun. More boosting to come in the near future too.
Assault Heroes last achievement was making me worried, because it sounded so daunting; Beat all underground zones (4 total) without dying once. That basically means beat nearly the entire game, and do not die in the underground zones. Sounded tough, turns out I got it on the first try. Just took some patience and skill.
Phantasy Star Universe was quite a fun RPG, especially to play online in it's MMORPG mode. I completed the online portion of ach's back in August, and I felt like wrapping up the single-player campaign this morning, and so I did. Fun game but rather short.
Lastly, Two Worlds was a rollercoaster for me. It's such an Oblivion rip-off that I couldn't help but love it, yet the amount of bugs, freezing, glitchiness and overall lackluster gameplay really made it troublesome at times. Overall I enjoyed it, and I wouldn't mind doing it again. However, it certainly had plenty of room for improvement.
-Lair Slayer from Assault Heroes
-Dulk Fakis 2 Slayer from Phantasy Star Universe
That leaves me with 40 achievements, 17 completions, and a little under 4,000 G to earn by New Years. I feel a strong urge to wrap up Lego Star Wars: TCS and Prey soon, maybe I'll finally get around to that.

Amazing, isn't it? Sad that it won't last forever, even if I quit earning achievements. This is a very proud moment for me, because I did minimal planning to get this exact number. It's so pretty!
I didn't finish my goals for Oct 10th, and I probably wont for a bit. I know, I know. Anyway, I'm still proud. I've nearly completed Two Worlds over the past 2-3 days, though! It's been pretty fun considering how bad it can be at times. Which brings me to this:
-Defeated The Grand Enemy from Two Worlds
Inching my way through the list, 42 solid ach's to go. An update on the other New Years goals;
81.67% Completion out of 80%.
60 Completed Games out of 80.
34.2% towards 70,000 G - only 11.11% time has progressed. (79 days left, 4605 G left; average of 58.3 G a day.)

I've been thinking, and since I created the ToDo list back in early February, I see that it's fitting to end the list in Feb 2011. Yeah, it's more exciting to try to reach them by New Years, but then I would have only given myself 11 months!
So far I have enjoyed documenting my journey through the 100 achievements; and though I am only slightly over the halfway mark for ach's earned and yet well into the last quarter of the time period, I've been enjoying it. Now that I've had my experience with making a list of goals, I think starting next year (Jan 1st, 2011) I will begin detailing a list of ach's to earn for 2011.
Eitherway, I may end up pushing the date back to Feb 1st 2011 for this year's list. Another point to do this comes from the fact that my gaming buddy Curtis is currently in basic training for the National Guard, and he'll be home for good around February.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet though, so as of now it's still December 31st. And even if I fail to earn any more from the list, even by Feb., I know that it's been an amazing ride with some great achievements and moments.
-There's No "I" In Team from Resident Evil 5
Oh, I picked that up earlier. 3 ach's in one day! If only I can continue that...haha.
See you on the 10th!

Wow, it seems that I tried from Lunar Lunatic for about 2 hours a while back, and I felt I had it in me to earn the achievement, I guess I was just lazy. Anyway, I revisited it earlier, and only took about 20 minutes (1 try) to knock it out. Event Horizon 2 is so much fun! (Think Aegis Wing). Almost every guide suggests using the fire ship (Solar Dominion), however I found using the Storm Conductor much, much easier. The chain lightning kills everything, even ships that sneak up behind you! Can't beat that!
Also, Suma Cum Laude from Boom Boom Rocket saw it's demise shortly before I started on Lunar Lunatic. This requires A ranking on any song on Hard difficultly. It's not hard at all to survive A-rank songs, or to even hit every note - the challenge comes in getting "Perfects" (great timing). Eitherway, it only took about 30 minutes and a few tries to get it. The last two ach's for BBR don't seem that hard, I've got a few songs left on Medium to earn an A rank on, and a few songs that I need to unlock the fireworks in. Soon!
For the list...
-Suma Cum Laude from Boom Boom Rocket
-Lunar Lunatic from Thrillville
44 more of these damn achievements left.
The more I stare at the list, the more daunted I become. Ones that I will be surprised if I earn by the year's end are Wave 10 from Robotron, most of the Dead Rising ach's, the games-played in PDZ, several of the Shadowrun ach's, and the ach for Sega Superstars Tennis. I'll try my hardest though!
Lastly, I don't think I'll meet the Oct 10th deadline (shocker!) To be continued...

As you can tell from above, and possibly the title, I finally earned 99,999,999 fol in Infinite Undiscovery, and maxed it out at 1,000 G. Just over a year since I started, the game is now complete. I'll miss this game so much, it was honestly a very very fun RPG and overall game. I miss it already, actually!
And for the other 3 ach's due by tomorrow night; I've been sick the past 3 days, and playing Army of Two with Faith. And whenever she's been gone, I haven't felt well enough to grind through those ach's, so I'm pushing the due date back to the 10th of October.
Some updating on status: I'm obviously done with IU, and I'm about 98% on Lego Star Wars. Still haven't touched the other two, but soon! 3 days left.

Ah, it's cold tonight! I miss the cold of fall. Earlier Faith and I started Army of Two, a promising game. It's graphics and gameplay feel a bit cheap, but it's overall fun and a bit innovative. We also played some Left 4 Dead, and we'll probably start either Kameo, or Lego Indiana Jones 2 soon. But we both like AOT! So it may be a week or so until those games get their turns.
So much DLC to get, and we're low on excess cash. A personal note here: L4D DLC, L4D2 DLC, Army of Two DLC, The Maw DLC, and probably more.
As for the Oct. 8th goal, I'm at 72,000,000 fol on IU, 97.4% on Lego Star Wars:TCS, and I haven't touched Prey/GH2 as of yet. Perhaps later today I will? 5 days left, so I should get on it.
Sidenote: I wanted to make 80 the number for the New Years this year;
-80% Completion (which I'm at now but new games lower it!)
-80,000 Gamerscore (Impossible with my game selection :( )
-80% Resolution completed (I'm being realistic. Those ach's are hard!)
-80 Completed Games (Do-able but tough)
Eitherway, the gamerscore is neigh impossible to obtain. We're broke at the moment and even if I 100%'d all the games I could possibly do that we own, I'd only hit about 75,000. I'll try for it, but I honestly doubt it. I've set the goal for GS to 70,000. But the other 3 are still as they are listed above.
Speaking of the Resolution....mark this one off!
-1,000 Melee Kills from Perfect Dark Zero

Resolution (Mini-Update)
I've recently reviewed the list, and I've found suitable candidates to swap in with some rather lame ach's that are ruining the list.
Achievements Removed:
-Two by Four from Guitar Hero 3
-Streaker from Guitar Hero 3
-Big in Amsterdam from Rock Band
-Score 100,000,000 from Raiden Fighters Aces
-Elf Player from Shadowrun
The achievements in GH3 are just plain easy, and basically pointless. I want more of a challenge :). Rock Band currently has 3 ach's for "beating x city", so clearing one off the list won't kill. I mainly put those there to ensure that Faith and I actually play the damn game, and now I have a better variety of ach's to replace one with. Also, Score 100,000,000 is just far too insane for me to focus on, considering I just got the game a few weeks ago, and I've had litterally no time to practice. Perhaps it can go on next years resolution? Lastly, Elf Player is redundant as I already have a time commitment ach for Shadowrun (actually, a few time commitment ach's) so I'm replacing it. I'm considering removing Robotron 2084's achievement (Reach Wave 10), however I did place it very early in the year, so I've no excuses not to earn it. But it's damn hard. I'll leave it for now, no wussing out for me :)
Anyway, on to those ach's replacements...
Achievements Added:
-Defeated the Grand Enemy from Two Worlds
-Planeswalker from Magic: The Gathering
-Dulk Fakis 2 Slayer from Phantasy Star Universe
-Champion Defender from Crystal Defenders
-Lair Slayer from Assault Heroes
Hopefully, this will be the last resolution change. I didn't realize how many crappy selections I had made when I created the list. Then again, I didn't have many options to fill 100 slots back then, so. Now that I have more games, I'm finding all kinds of ach's that I want to put on the list! For now though, this should be the 100% finalized list.
I also set a little rush goal for myself, placing Filthy Rich (Infinite Undiscovery), Galactic Hero (Prey), Medium Tour Champ (Guitar Hero 2), and 100% (Lego Star Wars:TCS) on the deadline for Oct 8th. Expect a full update before or by Oct. 8th!

8th!

Serious Complex
Progress: 62,910 G
Resolution: 52%
Recently Accomplished:
100% Shadow Complex [XBLA]
The past week or so, TrueAchievements.com has been offline and I've been sad because it's been an active two weeks for me! Eitherway, it's back online now, but my gamertag won't be scanned for a few days. :(
At any rate, I finished out Shadow Complex by earning Serious Complex (reach level 50) just a few hours after my last post! I didn't want to post again so soon, so I waited 'til now. SC was an AMAZING game, especially for an arcade game. I'm absolutely in love with it, if you haven't heard of it, download it now. You'll thank me later.
I've currently been playing some Devil May Cry 4, trying to get a little more completed in that game. I've decided to change my resolution ach in DMC4 from A Cut Above (S-rank all Devil Hunter Missions) to Item Collector (Obtain max of all items) which is, in my opinion, far more challenging.
I just grabbed my last blue orb fragment, earning Modus Vivendi, and putting me at a soft 200/1000 for the game. More to come!
-Serious Complex from Shadow Complex
48 of those damned achievements to go. I pray by the end of this week (Sunday), I'll be down to only 45 or so left. Perhaps even less!

That We May Live in Peace
Progress: 62,880 G
Resolution: 51%
Recently Accomplished:
100% Civilization Revolution
Awesome! I can finally let Civ-Rev live in peace, as I earned my final achievement 'That We May Live in Peace' moments ago. Very fun RTS game, and I do love some RTS (Here's looking at you Age of Empires, Halo Wars, etc!). This is one of the few games I will continue to play beyond 100%, albeit not daily; there is a feeling of repetition setting in. Eitherway, it was very fun collecting the ach's!
Along side plowing through this game, I've spent roughly 10 hours on Kingdom for Keflings with Faith. We each bought the two availiable DLC map packs and have been religiously clearing the kingdoms! One of the most played games beyond 100%, I must say. Can't wait for World for Keflings!
Time to dive into Shadow Complex again, currently level 40 out of level 50 (for the ach). I hope to have it complete before Faith returns home! (Saturdayish at the latest)
Still no resolution-based achievements, sadly. Soon, soon!

Big Baller
Progress: 62,000 G
Resolution: 51%
Whooo! I just earned 78,360 points in Shi No Numa on Call of Duty: WaW Zombies! It started out with myself and two others, and by round 4 one guy quit. Thankfully, my standing partner was absolutely amazing at the game, and I believe we made a great team albiet we played most of the time alone & far away from each other. The fact that he didn't get me killed, and vice versa, is a godsend though! I played my best game then, and what do ya know; Big Baller pops, and I'm still killing zombies. What a relief, if you've attempted this and have no friends that are either able to play or very good, then you can understand my elation. Finding a good partner is key!
Also, I took out a couple of other ach's that have been nagging me since the beginning of time:
-Big Baller from Call Of Duty: World At War
-Hexic Addict from Hexic HD
-1,000 Explosive Kills from Perfect Dark Zero
TrueAchievements.com is currently offline, so I can't be absolute that this is all that I earned from my resolution, but I'm almost positive. Eitherway, it's been a good two days!
I wont get cocky, but I think this next week I will be focusing on:
Perfect Dark Zero
Guitar Hero 2
Phantasy Star 2
Shadow Complex
and maybe finishing up either Thrillville, Lego Star Wars: TCS, or Infinite Undiscovery.
Let the path lead you!

Two posts in the same week?! Blasphemy!
I decided this achievement was worth it's own post, though some will argue it's not that difficult, I feel it was a great undertaking.
xgamehero won the No Miss Clear achievement in Triggerheart Exelica for 48 points
I admit it's not the hardest challenge in the game (there are 3 much harder achievements. This is the easiest of all the hard ones for this game.) BUT! It's still tough, and I've been trying to do it since I got the game basically.

100% Dead Rising: Case Zero [XBLA]
100% Heavy Weapon [XBLA]
100% Feeding Frenzy 2 [XBLA]
100% Ambiitions of the Illuminus [DLC]
55 Completed Games
It's been too long. First off, just shy of the month subscription ending, I finished the online DLC achievements for Phantasy Star Universe! Canceled the subscription, and now I'm working on the offline story mode. However, finishing the DLC is quite a feat in itself, therefore I added it to the list above. I've also recently purchased (and completed) Scott Pilgrim, and DR:CZ. Very fun, very short games. They didn't last long enough in my opinion, but still worth every cent.
I've done some house cleaning on my To Do list for the Resolution; I had to REMOVE the following achievements from the list (reason is explained in parenthesis):
-Zombie Genocidist in Left 4 Dead (I will get it at my own pace, no rush for it)
-Star 69 in Modern Warfare 2 (Tiz is at basic training, and wont return until Feb. so I don't have a teammate to achieve this with.)
-100,000,000?!?! in Guitar Hero 3 (Same reasons as Zombie Genocidist; I don't want to rush it)
-Seriously 2.0 in Gears of War 2 (I wont be able to get the game this year)
-Pharaoh of the Two Lands in Luxor 2 (Again, don't wish to rush)
-Key to the City in GTA:IV (A mishap caused my save data to be erased when I was close to achieveing this, therefore I'm too pissed to try for it anytime soon again)
And the good news is, I have replaced them all, so the challenge is still 100 achievements in 1 year. I will detail the entire list at the end of this post, just for record.
Also, strike this off the list:
-Dragon: Max All Class Ranks in Blue Dragon.
Which puts the list at 47 complete, 53 left to earn.
Moving on, I'm starting to work on the resolution some more now. A few weeks back Faith and I purchased several new games, including: Conan, Dark Void, Army of Two, Alone in the Dark, Raiden: Fighters Aces, Civilization Revolution, Wet, and possibly more. It's hard to think back that far but I think that's all of 'em.
Although there are still some tough ach's on the resolution, I feel much more confident now that I have refined the list and had a break from it. I've also set a personal goal on TA to have 80,000 G by Dec 31st of this year. However, the resolution is still my top priority.

Progress: 60,205 G
Resolution: TBR
Recently Accomplished:
60,000 Gamerscore.
To Be Reported.
I haven't been keeping strong tabs on my gamerscore/achievements/etc, because as of lately I've been delving into the one of only two current MMORPGs on the Xbox 360; Phantasy Star Universe. I recently celebrated my 21st birthday, and I thought it would be fun to play an MMORPG. Seeing as how FFXI has had some compatibility issues (according to my friend), PSU seemed the easy option. Since Aug 03 I have been online in PSU (didn't even start the offline story first!) and it's decently fun. A lot of minor complaints but basically it's a solid game. Could be much better though. I can't argue, at least it's an MMORPG! Faith and Tiz have joined me in playing, and it's been so distractingly fun that I've put a hold on the achievements. I did, however, earn all of the online ach's (except the last one, which requires level 90. Currently level 81). For anyone considering this title, it's definitely fun but not the best MMORPG out there. Certainly more fun with friends, playing alone would probably be a real bore.
I've been neglecting other games and achievements for the better part of a month and it's nearly time to get grinding again. Luxor 2, you've been the bane of my gamercard for too long now, soon you'll meet your achiever!
'Til next time!

[K] Moderation
Kongregate: 7,949
Currently Playing:
-Mardek RPG Chapter 2 (and soon Chapter 3!)
-Sacred Seasons 2 (Go level 50!)
-Mini-Tower Defense
So, I've recently taken another week (or so, its not over!) long break from Xbox and decided to load up some 'badges' *cough* Achievements *cough*, on my favorite website Kongregate. (Can be visited via the following link: www.kongregate.com)
It's similar to any other flash game compendium website you may have visited; except a majority of the flash games have achievements! Though, the website commonly refers to them as badges, it's all the same. It's a nice break from holding a controller, and gives me a reason to use my computer! (Other than guides and walkthroughs for Xbox 360 games!)
There are a few noticable differences when comparing gamerscore on Xbox to 'gamerscore' (or just 'score') on Kongregate. Your score can be raised by earning badges (duh), which give points based on difficulty (ranging from Easy - 5 Points, to Impossible - 60 Points), OR by rating a game, piece of artwork, midi file, referring a friend, or several other unorthodox methods. All in all, I don't care much about my score when comparing to others, simply because a lot of people have earned thousands and hundreds of thousands of points (or GS) by referring friends - thus, no reflection of their gaming skills and dedication. However, I do not refer friends for points. I will rate artwork and the occasional sound file if I'm in the mood, but my main addiction is collecting all of the badges, not trying to earn a specific score (1 million anyone?).
Be that as it may, since my last session of gaming on it, (there are no grand totals to view, unless you count them all yourself) I had earned more than 60% of all badges on the website. Since new badges are added practically every other day, and since it's been ages since I've played, I probably only own about 35-40%. Either way, I'll keep playing 'til they're all mine!
Yes, the measly 7,900 score seems so low when you put it into Gamerscore perspective, however, I dare you to sign-up on Kongregate and earn 8,000! Its not hard, it will just take some good effort! Either way, my user name on Kong is the same as my XBL GT- xgamehero. Shoot me a message, or join me in chat!
'Til next time!
Edit: I own 437 Badges, and there are 543 that I do NOT own.
980 Total badges. That's 44.5% completion! Haha..

Percentage Achieved
Progress: 58,380 G
Resolution: ???
Recently Accomplished:
100% Blue Dragon
100% Alone in the Dark
100/80% Toy Soldiers [XBLA] - See Below For More.
Wow, what a game. Blue Dragon was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I don't really care for those kinds of TV shows anymore (Dragonball Z, etc) however despite being based off a child like TV show, and having a child-like appearance and atmosphere itself, the game is quite decent for an RPG. There are many elements that surprise me to be in such a childishly themed game. Definitely a good play for hardcore RPGer's, you may laugh at first but it's not half bad. Try collecting the 1,800+ 'Nothings' and do it all on Ultra Hard Mode! It'll test your mettle.
Five minutes ago saw the end of Alone in the Dark (again - I beat it on my old gamertag years ago). Thank goodness that relic is done. Just a few more games from my previous gamertag to complete and I'll have surpassed all of it's games! (Well, I'm way ahead of it now in GS terms, but it has games complete that my new one doesn't, and this doesn't make me happy!)
If you were confused about the %age on Toy Soldiers, thats because I recently triumph'd by completing the game by borrowing it from Faith's little brother. It only took a few days, few hours each day. It was really fun! But the price is steep, so I just beat it quickly to return her brothers gamertag to him. However! Before I could even really relax in my own victory, DLC was released and dropped my 100% to 80%! Argh! So, I'm vexed with buying DLC for an arcade game that I don't own, buying the whole game (1,200 MSP) AND the DLC (400 MSP), or trying to talk her brother into buying the DLC (Please Please!). Eitherway, now there are inconsistancies between my Xbox Live Account and TrueAchievements.
Note: The same thing happened with Family Game Night. Three new DLCs caused me to lose my completion, and I do not own the actual game nor any of the DLCs (Scrabble, Boggle, etc). So $30 for the last 3 DLCs is a bit pricey considering I don't like any of the three. Sigh! If you own the 3 DLCs, let me borrow your GT for a day or so! Hehe.
Total, that makes my Xbox Live account claim 52 completes, and TA claim 50 completes. Eitherway, I broke the 50 marker.
And the most EXCITING news! (Took forever to get this far, eh? considering this is why I titled this post) - 80% completion rate is finally mine! After months of watching it bounce from 76% to 78%, and back down to 74% then up to 79%, then back to 77%. I am very happy to see this, as I feel it is a new chapter in my gaming. From now on, this number will stay AT or ABOVE 80%! Now that I've reached it (which was a bit challenging), the trick now is to raise it up even more by a bit to ensure a new game will not drop it back into the 70's.
I believe the 80% is part 1 of my goal by August completed. Now I just need 1,700ish more GS, and a few more Resolutions, which, btw, I have not checked at all recently. I highly doubt I've earned any, so I'll update the progress on that later. Thanks for reading, see you again soon!
Oh, and, Happy Independence Day! And Happy Canada Day!

Percentage Takedown
Progress: 56,800 G
Resolution: 46%
Recently Accomplished:
100% CSI: Deadly Intent
100% Viva Pinata: Party Animals
Two fun games added to the complete pile. Also take note that there are now 50 games (retail + arcade) completed! This is small milestone towards a larger, more desirable 100 retail completed, and 100 arcade completed. A long road...
Nothing new on the Resolution list. I've been working on it, I promise! Some Guitar Hero 2, a little Resident Evil 5, and now the past few days I've been focusing on Blue Dragon. All of this to aim for a satisfying 82%+ completion. 82%, because I would like to play new games and maintain at least 80%. Currently at 79.36%. It's starting to feel impossible! In time, however. Over the next week, I hope to 1000 Blue Dragon (finally). Oh, and I've also played a lot of Devil May Cry 4. Beat Devil Hunter (Normal) and most of Human (Easy) modes. A long haul on that game, I'll surely be playing it for months to come.
9 more resolution ach's to reach my intermediate goal by August. Just about 30 days left, and a lot of the ach's left are either time consuming, or I just plain don't want to sit down and try. I will meet this goal, along with the 60,000 G and 80%+ completion. Until next time.

100% CSI: Hard Evidence

80,000 T
Wow, over half a month late for my update. I lost track of time, and got distracted. I'll start off with the bad news (for me at least), that I only met half of my May resolution achievements. Tear. Oh well, I'm still gunning hard for the overall resolution of the 100 list by December!
To begin, I've acquired a few new games. Lost Planet (YAY!), Gears of War, Call of Duty: World At War, Magic The Gathering, Shadow Complex, Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement, Age of Booty, and probably even more.
Also note that Faith gave in and we now have a GameFly account (2 games out at once), which is where the CSI, Family Game Night and Saw came from. I also have been borrowing arcade games from my friends (such as N+, Toy Soldiers, and more) to get some variety in my play. The Resolution hasn't really gained much since the end of May, however since my last post there has been significant progress;
-Fast Win from Sonic The Hedgehog [XBLA]
-Sore Thumb Award from Boom Boom Rocket [XBLA]
-Producer from Scene It? Box Office Smash!
-Video Store Clerk from Scene It? Box Office Smash!
-Viewfinder Master from Scene It? Box Office Smash!
-Big in Chicago from Rock Band
-Lord of the Strings from Rock Band
-Ball Buddies from Sega Superstars Tennis
Hopefully I will not take so long to update again. I'm currently aiming for (and we both know I probably need to lower my sights) roughly 80%+ completion, 60,000 G, and 55%+ Resolution by the beginning of August. All very doable however I might manage to mess something up. Incase I go back into my gaming cave for too long, Happy Independance Day! (joke).

xgamehero won the Mile High Club achievement in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for 38 points.
That's all that needs to be said. I finally earned it, after finishing every other achievement in this game over 7 months ago. Every few months I would borrow the game from Curtis, attempt the mission for 4-5 hours straight, and ultimately give up. Today, I borrowed it again and within the first 15 minutes (my 5th try) I shot the infamous terrorist at the end, and sky dived to safety. This is such a big accomplishment for me, that I felt a whole post should be created and dedicated to it, and so here it is.
By the way, Feeding Frenzy was fun as well. I'm sad to see it go, but I'm all geeked out about getting Feeding Frenzy 2 now!
For the list:
-Food Bank from Feeding Frenzy

Ah! Another amazing console RPG put away maxed. Mass Effect was very fun, even on my 5th playthrough. A bit daunting at times, worrying if I was going to get the Ally achievements or miss them, but fun nonetheless. Pure was an exciting racing game, and quite tough considering it's targeted age range (presumably 10+ or something). Sonic 3 was great as well, I just can't wait to finish Sonic 1, and start on Sonic 2!
Quite a few ach's to mark off of the list:

-Trollhammer from Shadowrun

100% Uno [XBLA]
100% Gauntlet [XBLA]
A pre-note: Two fun games from Live Arcade. Gauntlet was nostalgic, and Uno was a nice time waster, and wasn't too bad. Certainly only fun if you're playing with other people, though. Otherwise it's a bore :(.
May Madness is about to begin (today being the 30th of April), and that means it's time for me to crunch some ach's. I plan on knocking through 25 on the resolution list; Most of them are rather simple, though.
I got a nice head-start on the list by earning the following:
-Game Master from Gauntlet
-Devotee from Uno
-Who Needs The Power from Guitar Hero 3.
I honestly didn't think I would be able to earn 200k on Cult of Personality so easily. The relative ease has inspired me to add some more of the music game ach's from the resolution list into my May Madness plan.
Current:
Faith and I have been working on The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, trying to knock out the co-op achievement for myself, and then we plan on running through it again so she can get the ach. Curtis claims he'll be loading up his Xbox again soon, as he's sitting on a 46-day "Last Seen Online" hiatus. Eitherway, it's most Shadowrun and Luxor 2 for me! (Oh, and Spyro. :P)

FFXIII was the biggest let down of all time. I would rant about it, but there is no point, search the internet and you're bound to find the hate. Roughly 92 hours to complete it, without a strategy guide or walkthrough. (I did use a checklist for items for the Treasure Hunter achievement, though. Shame on me? Not.) I'm glad it's done, and I pray there will be no DLC. Mainly because I sold a lot of my equipment to earn Treasure Hunter xD.
Zombie Apocalypse was a very fun XBLA game, giving Faith and I plenty of hours of zombie killing. Two thumbs ups. Oblivion was maxed out shortly after FFXIII, and it too was a great game. Note that this was the first and so far only game that Faith had 100% that I hadn't yet. Well, not anymore! :)
As for the resolution, check off these two:
-Anniversary of the Dead from Zombie Apocalypse
-Duke Mania from Oblivion
On a last note, Faith has started Fable 2. Curtis is still doing homework and cannot finish FFXIII for PS3. Goodluck both of you!

100% Fable 2
100% Enchanted Arms
Two great RPGs crossed off of the list, and I must say I only really began to enjoy them near the end of their storylines. I didn't appreciate Enchanted Arms one bit when I started it back in May of 2009 (nearly one year ago), but I slowly dug into it and it took until 3 hours before the final battle for me to realize that I love the battle system and the story was better than I thought (although still crappy compared to others, it was enjoyable overall).
Fable 2 was great, once again my outlook was bleak near the beginning but by the time I was at the top of the Spire, I wouldn't have rather been anywhere else. I'm sad to see these two games go, but I certainly enjoyed the time spent on them.
All that aside, I've picked up some ach's that were on the list along the way:
-The One! from Brain Challenge
-Dollcatcher from Fable 2
-Protector from Enchanted Arms
(For the record, the Enchanted Arms ach was a randomly chosen one from when I started the list, and though it's not hard to earn by itself, all the games ach's are secret therefore I wasn't sure when I'd earn it, thus forcing me to nearly beat the game, which was the ach's main purpose anyway: to force me to play the game. It did turn out however to be near the end of the game, I think 84% through.)
I'm not sure where I'll be going from here, be it Star Ocean or The Last Remnant, Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey. We'll see as time progresses.
And before I forget, because I wont make it to it by then,
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

On a good note, I did finish off Paperboy. And Galaga. But I guess even though the last ach on Galaga proved difficult for me, I failed to include it in my ToDo list, so only one ach earned for this post.
I've been gaming a lot with Faith lately, mainly Brain Challenge, with a little Doom here and there. With some luck, we'll both be near done with each before she returns back home! Next up, I guess, will be Enchanted Arms (ugh) and continuing Fable 2 (semi-ugh).

Running The Show
Progress: 36,490 G
Resolution: 6/100
Recently Accomplished:
100% Halo Wars
Yes! I've obtained General rank on Halo Wars, and earned the Running The Show achievement. FINALLY. Took many, many hours of dedication and practice.
With that ach', and one on Halo 3, I have solidified my completion of the Halo Universe (that is, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars) to the 1000th percent. I must say it was a fun ride, Bungie.
Two more to cross off the list:
-Vidmaster: Lightswitch from Halo 3
-Running The Show from Halo Wars
Now to new things, I've decided within my spare time to create a spreadsheet containing a list of all games, sorted by genre, that I plan to accomplish something in throughout this year. I've set certain percent goals from month to month in which I -hope- to achieve. However, these percent markers and goals are not definite, and are probably too hard to meet, considering I'll have to be gaining roughly 5,000 G a month, on mostly hard games to complete (Perfect Dark Zero, Guitar Hero 3, Gears of War 2). This is just a way for me to track my progress a little more indepth, and see how my score grows as I game. I can also determine my strong gaming genres (currently shooter, but I honestly don't enjoy them much), and learn where I need to improve my performance (mainly sports games. Oddly enough, I don't care for them either really.)
Therefore, this list is not to be compared or associated with my resolution and is in no way an actual must-complete goal. I will however give random updates on my % as I feel it is necessary. Also note, not every game I plan on playing this year is on the list, neither is every game I even own.
Game Book List: 37 Retail, 20 XBLA
Total Gamerscore (Earned/Total): 18,995/55,000 (34.54%)
Genres include: RPG (Infinite Undiscovery), Shooter (Halo 3), Adventure (Devil May Cry 4), Sports (Pure), Music (Rockband), Other (Halo Wars, Scene It! BOS), Arcade (Phantasy Star 2).
Perhaps in the future I will elaborate more on the Game Book, but for now thats all that needs to be said.

No Pain, No Gain
Progress: 36,405 G
Resolution: 4/100
Recently Accomplished:
100% Halo 3: ODST
It's been a while since my last update, and lots of stuff has happened since then, however most of it is unimportant.
Faith is still on vacation in Florida, leaving me with 4 more days until she arrives back at home. I hope to get a lot done by then!
A month ago, I started tinkering with the ToDo List function on TrueAchievements.com, and decided that I should create a New Years resolution list, slam packed with ach's that I've "been meaning to get around to".
Among this list, Luxor 2, Shadowrun, Perfect Dark Zero, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Uno, Prey, Pure, and quite a few other games. The list was set at 100 achievements, and most are endurance or just plain hard or boring. Example: Luxor 2's Magic of Isis - complete the storyline on hard mode, with an amazing 16:1 achieved ratio, according to TA. I will of course be doing a lot more than this list all year, but these 100 ach's are a must.
I started off with a good fight, already reducing the ranks down to 96;
-No Pain, No Gain from Pure
-Vidmaster: Annual from Halo 3
-Vidnaster: Deja Vu from Halo 3: ODST
-Brain Lord from Brain Challenge
As time passes, I may feel the need to change a few achievements, as the list was not created from the start with these intentions. I may need to swap some babycake easy ach's for some more enduring ones as I see fit. Any alterations will be clearly noted though, so don't assume I'm cheating my way out of this one :)
