*Mini-Update*
I started Final Fantasy XI the other day, and I created a page to specifically track my progress - at the top of this page, click "Final Fantasy XI" to view it! It won't be very interesting as of right now, but it's definitely a start. I created a separate page specifically for FFXI because I honestly think posting my progress here will flood this section. More info can be found on the FFXI page.
As for now, FFXI will be consuming majority of my gaming time. However, I am still working on the resolution, and other games as well (Forza Motorsport 2 is among them). I'm also getting an urge to hop back onto Kongregate; so there will be much activity in the coming days/weeks. Expect a full update before Nov. 4th, and hopefully some interesting news/info.
Much to come!

Trick & Treat
Progress: 66,500 G
Resolution: 62%
Recently Accomplished:
100% Costume Quest [XBLA]
Boo! It's that time of year, where things get a little scary - and perhaps a little tasty! Since my last post, I've been on an epic adventure to obtain two games; Costume Quest and Final Fantasy XI. I'll detail the journey below...
Final Fantasy XI, being one of the only two MMORPGS for the Xbox 360, excited me. Although I had given thought to it in the past, a sudden urge to play it hit me one day. And the urge was fierce. Bad enough that I was reduced to mere begging and pleading with Faith to agree to order us two copies. After waiting nearly a week, the order was placed Oct. 18th, and arrived today (Oct. 26th). After nearly 6 hours of sign-ups, registrations, installs, and downloads, around 5 pm I was logged into the world of Vana'diel. Although the graphics could use a makeover (I know, the game was made back in like 1760) it seems very indepth, and will assuredly take me many months to even grasp the concept of earning an achievement. I think the sheer amount of work and effort involved in earning all the achievements is what drastically attracted me to the game. That, and the fact that it's something Faith and I could both play and (more than likely) enjoy.
Costume Quest. I heard about this game a month or so ago, and I completely forgot about it until I had signed up for Bing Rewards Preview, and subsequently received 400 free Microsoft Points. On the hunt for a new game, I stumbled across it. After spending like 3 hours playing the trial (longer than I've spent on full arcade games, or even retail games), I decided that I could not live without it. It's cute, fun, and exciting. So I struggled to get more MSP from the Bing Rewards program, and finally I achieved the 1,200 MSP price-point yesterday. Sadly, I finished the game just moments ago. Short lived, but well, well worth it.
In other news, I started Forza Motorsport 2 recently. This is another game I had been anticipating playing (I've had it for several months now - shame on me?). It's fun, and I haven't played a racing game in a while so, woohoo. Also started Banjo Kazooie (thanks Curtis!) - ahh the nostalgia. I'm almost finished with it as well. But I am enjoying every savory minute of it. Can't beat the classics.
Last item on the list...or rather, two items...
-Level 30 from Phantasy Star 2
-Big in Japan from Rock Band
That lands me at a cool 62/100, with 38 items to go. I realized the 80 games complete goal will probably be a bit hefty, especially since I just got FFXI. I may reduce the goals down to a "70" theme; 70 completed games, 70k GS, 70/100 resolutions, etc. But it'll for-sure stay at 80% completion regardless. We'll see what happens!
Until next time - Happy Halloween!

Recently Accomplished:
100% Two Worlds
100% Phantasy Star Universe
100% Assault Heroes [XBLA]
Let me start off by catching up. The past few days have been filled with boosting and gaming. I've boosted Resident Evil 5 Versus wins, Castle Crasher's Arena wins, and Shadowrun. More boosting to come in the near future too.
Assault Heroes last achievement was making me worried, because it sounded so daunting; Beat all underground zones (4 total) without dying once. That basically means beat nearly the entire game, and do not die in the underground zones. Sounded tough, turns out I got it on the first try. Just took some patience and skill.
Phantasy Star Universe was quite a fun RPG, especially to play online in it's MMORPG mode. I completed the online portion of ach's back in August, and I felt like wrapping up the single-player campaign this morning, and so I did. Fun game but rather short.
Lastly, Two Worlds was a rollercoaster for me. It's such an Oblivion rip-off that I couldn't help but love it, yet the amount of bugs, freezing, glitchiness and overall lackluster gameplay really made it troublesome at times. Overall I enjoyed it, and I wouldn't mind doing it again. However, it certainly had plenty of room for improvement.
-Lair Slayer from Assault Heroes
-Dulk Fakis 2 Slayer from Phantasy Star Universe
That leaves me with 40 achievements, 17 completions, and a little under 4,000 G to earn by New Years. I feel a strong urge to wrap up Lego Star Wars: TCS and Prey soon, maybe I'll finally get around to that.

Amazing, isn't it? Sad that it won't last forever, even if I quit earning achievements. This is a very proud moment for me, because I did minimal planning to get this exact number. It's so pretty!
I didn't finish my goals for Oct 10th, and I probably wont for a bit. I know, I know. Anyway, I'm still proud. I've nearly completed Two Worlds over the past 2-3 days, though! It's been pretty fun considering how bad it can be at times. Which brings me to this:
-Defeated The Grand Enemy from Two Worlds
Inching my way through the list, 42 solid ach's to go. An update on the other New Years goals;
81.67% Completion out of 80%.
60 Completed Games out of 80.
34.2% towards 70,000 G - only 11.11% time has progressed. (79 days left, 4605 G left; average of 58.3 G a day.)
Woohoo! More to come.

Contemplation
Progress: 64,370 G

I've been thinking, and since I created the ToDo list back in early February, I see that it's fitting to end the list in Feb 2011. Yeah, it's more exciting to try to reach them by New Years, but then I would have only given myself 11 months!
So far I have enjoyed documenting my journey through the 100 achievements; and though I am only slightly over the halfway mark for ach's earned and yet well into the last quarter of the time period, I've been enjoying it. Now that I've had my experience with making a list of goals, I think starting next year (Jan 1st, 2011) I will begin detailing a list of ach's to earn for 2011.
Eitherway, I may end up pushing the date back to Feb 1st 2011 for this year's list. Another point to do this comes from the fact that my gaming buddy Curtis is currently in basic training for the National Guard, and he'll be home for good around February.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet though, so as of now it's still December 31st. And even if I fail to earn any more from the list, even by Feb., I know that it's been an amazing ride with some great achievements and moments.
-There's No "I" In Team from Resident Evil 5
Oh, I picked that up earlier. 3 ach's in one day! If only I can continue that...haha.
See you on the 10th!

Wow, it seems that I tried from Lunar Lunatic for about 2 hours a while back, and I felt I had it in me to earn the achievement, I guess I was just lazy. Anyway, I revisited it earlier, and only took about 20 minutes (1 try) to knock it out. Event Horizon 2 is so much fun! (Think Aegis Wing). Almost every guide suggests using the fire ship (Solar Dominion), however I found using the Storm Conductor much, much easier. The chain lightning kills everything, even ships that sneak up behind you! Can't beat that!
Also, Suma Cum Laude from Boom Boom Rocket saw it's demise shortly before I started on Lunar Lunatic. This requires A ranking on any song on Hard difficultly. It's not hard at all to survive A-rank songs, or to even hit every note - the challenge comes in getting "Perfects" (great timing). Eitherway, it only took about 30 minutes and a few tries to get it. The last two ach's for BBR don't seem that hard, I've got a few songs left on Medium to earn an A rank on, and a few songs that I need to unlock the fireworks in. Soon!
For the list...
-Suma Cum Laude from Boom Boom Rocket
-Lunar Lunatic from Thrillville
44 more of these damn achievements left.
The more I stare at the list, the more daunted I become. Ones that I will be surprised if I earn by the year's end are Wave 10 from Robotron, most of the Dead Rising ach's, the games-played in PDZ, several of the Shadowrun ach's, and the ach for Sega Superstars Tennis. I'll try my hardest though!
Lastly, I don't think I'll meet the Oct 10th deadline (shocker!) To be continued...

As you can tell from above, and possibly the title, I finally earned 99,999,999 fol in Infinite Undiscovery, and maxed it out at 1,000 G. Just over a year since I started, the game is now complete. I'll miss this game so much, it was honestly a very very fun RPG and overall game. I miss it already, actually!
And for the other 3 ach's due by tomorrow night; I've been sick the past 3 days, and playing Army of Two with Faith. And whenever she's been gone, I haven't felt well enough to grind through those ach's, so I'm pushing the due date back to the 10th of October.
Some updating on status: I'm obviously done with IU, and I'm about 98% on Lego Star Wars. Still haven't touched the other two, but soon! 3 days left.

Other Resolutions
Progress: 63,115 G
Resolution: 53%
Ah, it's cold tonight! I miss the cold of fall. Earlier Faith and I started Army of Two, a promising game. It's graphics and gameplay feel a bit cheap, but it's overall fun and a bit innovative. We also played some Left 4 Dead, and we'll probably start either Kameo, or Lego Indiana Jones 2 soon. But we both like AOT! So it may be a week or so until those games get their turns.
So much DLC to get, and we're low on excess cash. A personal note here: L4D DLC, L4D2 DLC, Army of Two DLC, The Maw DLC, and probably more.
As for the Oct. 8th goal, I'm at 72,000,000 fol on IU, 97.4% on Lego Star Wars:TCS, and I haven't touched Prey/GH2 as of yet. Perhaps later today I will? 5 days left, so I should get on it.
Sidenote: I wanted to make 80 the number for the New Years this year;
-80% Completion (which I'm at now but new games lower it!)
-80,000 Gamerscore (Impossible with my game selection :( )
-80% Resolution completed (I'm being realistic. Those ach's are hard!)
-80 Completed Games (Do-able but tough)
Eitherway, the gamerscore is neigh impossible to obtain. We're broke at the moment and even if I 100%'d all the games I could possibly do that we own, I'd only hit about 75,000. I'll try for it, but I honestly doubt it. I've set the goal for GS to 70,000. But the other 3 are still as they are listed above.
Speaking of the Resolution....mark this one off!
-1,000 Melee Kills from Perfect Dark Zero
47 to go! - See you on the 8th!

Resolution (Mini-Update)
I've recently reviewed the list, and I've found suitable candidates to swap in with some rather lame ach's that are ruining the list.
Achievements Removed:
-Two by Four from Guitar Hero 3
-Streaker from Guitar Hero 3
-Big in Amsterdam from Rock Band
-Score 100,000,000 from Raiden Fighters Aces
-Elf Player from Shadowrun
The achievements in GH3 are just plain easy, and basically pointless. I want more of a challenge :). Rock Band currently has 3 ach's for "beating x city", so clearing one off the list won't kill. I mainly put those there to ensure that Faith and I actually play the damn game, and now I have a better variety of ach's to replace one with. Also, Score 100,000,000 is just far too insane for me to focus on, considering I just got the game a few weeks ago, and I've had litterally no time to practice. Perhaps it can go on next years resolution? Lastly, Elf Player is redundant as I already have a time commitment ach for Shadowrun (actually, a few time commitment ach's) so I'm replacing it. I'm considering removing Robotron 2084's achievement (Reach Wave 10), however I did place it very early in the year, so I've no excuses not to earn it. But it's damn hard. I'll leave it for now, no wussing out for me :)
Anyway, on to those ach's replacements...
Achievements Added:
-Defeated the Grand Enemy from Two Worlds
-Planeswalker from Magic: The Gathering
-Dulk Fakis 2 Slayer from Phantasy Star Universe
-Champion Defender from Crystal Defenders
-Lair Slayer from Assault Heroes
Hopefully, this will be the last resolution change. I didn't realize how many crappy selections I had made when I created the list. Then again, I didn't have many options to fill 100 slots back then, so. Now that I have more games, I'm finding all kinds of ach's that I want to put on the list! For now though, this should be the 100% finalized list.
I also set a little rush goal for myself, placing Filthy Rich (Infinite Undiscovery), Galactic Hero (Prey), Medium Tour Champ (Guitar Hero 2), and 100% (Lego Star Wars:TCS) on the deadline for Oct 8th. Expect a full update before or by Oct. 8th!
