300 Club

*Mini Update*

xgamehero won the 300 Club achievement in RocketBowl for 99 points

Ahh! Yes, I finally joined the 300 Club on Rocketbowl [XBLA]! After I finished the main story (If you wish to call it that), I tried my best to work on methods to achieve this task of bowling a perfect game - to no avail. Now, several months after passing by Rocketbowl in my Arcade screen with angst and dread, I owned up to the challenge with general malaise. I wasn't even paying attention for the first 8 strikes! Faith and I were chatting back and forth, and I had just woken up and decided 'Hey, I feel like throwing some balls around'. And so I believe my 1st or 2nd try of just casually bowling, I did it. Things got serious and set in during my 9th frame, when I realized that this unbelievably could be my 300 game. I tried not to let the shakes and anxiety set in, and bam! I was also so excited that I left the screen claiming me a 'Member of the 300 Club' up for nearly 30 minutes until I finally snapped a picture, and exited out.

A glorious moment, it was. I now encourage Faith to try her hardest - or rather just relax! - and nail the 300 we both know she can earn!

70,000

Progress: 70,000 G

Recently Accomplished:
100% Crazy Taxi [XBLA]
100% Harm's Way [XBLA]
100% A World of Keflings [XBLA]

First; New games acquired include Fable 3, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, Dead Rising 2, Family Game Night 3, Sims 3, Lost Planet 2 - and for XBLA - Crazy Taxi, A World of Keflings, Sonic Adventure DX, Harm's Way, and Crash Course. (The last two are free games, but still count!).

Also, new games that I've started (but don't actually own) include Call of Duty: Black Ops. About two thirds the way through the campaign, and it's an amazing story. Then again, Treyarch has always impressed. Fable 3 is sitting at 900 gamerscore, nearly complete. Nothing left but collecting all the legendary weapons, and clothing, then marry some peoples and two odd end achievements. Harm's Way was by far the fastest game complete I've experienced that actually had diverse achievements. Although it was quick, it was a hell of a lot of fun - I'll be playing it for kicks here and there!

To continue, Crash Course is nearly complete - just have to gold star a few levels. It, too, was a blast. Haven't made much progress in FFXI, however Faith and I are soon restarting out Chocobos - more on this on the FFXI page. Dead Rising 2 is as fun as I thought it would be, however I'm not much in the mood at the moment for it, therefore I've only really just started it. A World of Keflings could not have come sooner, and within two days of getting it, Faith and I beat the whole story. Sad :(. But it was a well earned victory, we waited forever for that damn game to be released!

Approaching current era...I've been locked into Sims 3 for the past few days - it's so addicting! I'm upset that all the crazy expansions aren't avaliable on console version (I counted 5 add-ons at wal-mart last night!). Going to be working on it for a while too. That, and probably going to start Lost Planet.

I love landing on solid even numbers. I especially love landing on solid, even numbers that start with my favorite number. 70,000. Woohoo! It's a little late for my goal, but at least I achieved it!

Now, the depressing news. 38 achievements still remain on my ToDo/Resolution list. I utterly failed, with only a 72% completion rate for last year. (completion of resolution, not overall completion percentage.) Sigh. Where to go from here? I feel I might rework the list, top it off with 72 new achievements and try again. If I do, the list will be compiled over the coming week and posted here. Hopefully, things will happen.

My other new year's resolution is to reach 100,000 G by December 31st, 2011. I feel this is highly achievable, and no-sweat.

I'm sure there are things I left out, that's why the Internet Gods created editting and 'new post' feature. See you then!

Huzzah 70,000!
