Want to enjoy all of the undead action but not sure how to? Read below for some helpful tips.
Xbox 360 Games:
-Left 4 Dead
-Left 4 Dead 2
In these games, you could simply play alone in the dark, or with a friend via local co-op or online. Create some fun challenges to compete with either yourself, the clock, or friends! In Left 4 Dead, challenge a friend to some Versus Mode, where perhaps the undead player cycles through until they are the Boomer, and they must kill the human player by only vomitting to call the horde. There are many variations and simple challenges that can spice up your zombie games!
Left 4 Dead 2 could be treated similarly. My favorite challenge (requires a partner) is to try to cross the Bridge described in the achievement 'Bridge over Trebled Slaughter' one at a time while killing every zombie, and still trying to meet the 3 minute time requirement. Try to think of your own exciting challenges!
-Resident Evil 5
There are lots of fun ways to play this game. If you're alone, create a goal or handicap for either the entire game or a certain level. Example: Limit your weapon selection to a specific gun or weapon type, or even knife-only! With friends, you could compete or co-operatively play Versus Mode, or Mercenaries Mode, respectively. Try for some high scores!
-Dead Rising
-Dead Rising 2
-Dead Rising: Case Zero
-Dead Rising: Case West
Although two of these are single-player only (Dead Rising, and Case Zero), there is plenty of zombie killing to be had. Dead Rising 2 offers a unique co-op experience, and Dead Rising 1 can be a challenge to meet some of the time-specific goals. If you just want pure slaying, both of the retail titles offer loads of diverse zombie butchering! Might I suggest the katana in Dead Rising 1, or the dual chainsaws in Dead Rising 2.
-Plants Vs. Zombies [XBLA] - 1,200 MSP
This game can be amazingly addicting if you can get into it. Although there is no support for online play, there are plenty of modes and levels to keep you busy stopping the horde, or trying to defeat your friend sitting next to you! Strategy is key in the player vs player mode!
-Zombie Apocalypse [XBLA] - 800 MSP
Over 50 levels of campaign, 7 levels of the extensive "7 Days Of Hell" mode, and lots of unique challenge modes that fit well with Zombie Month, make this arcade game an excellent choice. Try playing on Chainsaw Only Mode with some friends via Xbox Live, or on the same console. It's a blast! This game supports up to 4 players.

I hope this one-stop zombie mini-compendium was able to meet your undead needs! I realize that what I have listed is but a mere percentage of the available content in each section; those listed are options that I highly enjoy personally. Maybe I had listed some things that you are not familiar with, and you are now able to experience it/them!

Zombie Month (2nd Annual)
Progress: 74,515 G
Recently Accomplished:
100% Spiderman: FoF
100% Lego Star Wars: TCS
100% Plants Vs. Zombies [XBLA]
100% Outpost Kaloki X [XBLA]
70 Completed Games
Welcome to the (middle of the) 2nd Annual Zombie Month! (Please note that Zombie Month is something only I really celebrate; I did not get the idea from any outside source. I do however invite you to celebrate it!)
Many things have happened since my last post; I'll start off with new purchases. Faith (FINALLY) bought a brand new 26" LCD Vizio TV, and tossed that junk color distorted CRT. So now, we have two of the same TVs (same brand, same model) sitting side by side on our new, sleek, black entertainment center. New games include Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, and for the Xbox Live Arcade; Plants Vs. Zombies, Raskulls, KrissX, Blacklight: Tango Down, Outpost Kaloki X, Puzzle Quest, Band of Bugs, and Puzzle Arcade. Phew, thats a lot!
Now, onto the next topic. Plants Vs. Zombies was amazing. Simply amazing. I'm sad that I've beaten everything it has to offer, not just achievements. I'll be playing this a lot to challenge Faith to stop my zombie horde! Outpost Kaloki X wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be, but it still gets a 9 out of 10 from me. Very fun and classically simple gameplay, but surprisingly difficult to master. Spiderman: FoF was a rental that my father had for my little brother, and as I don't care for comic heroes or the like, the game was actually enjoyable. Though, I wouldn't have completed it if it weren't for the achievements.
I'm nearly finished with Puzzle Quest, I love the in-depth role-playing aspects built into the gameplay - it makes it so much more than just a gem swapping game (which are boring to the max). I love it, and plan on getting the sequels eventually. Puzzle Arcade was surprisingly addicting; when one thinks of building classic puzzles, one might wish to take a nap or count grains of sand instead. However, with the several different gameplay modes and features / co-op play, the game turned out to be an instant hit with Faith and I. YOU try building a 1,000 piece puzzle in classic mode! Faith is currently at 23 or so hours and still has 500 pieces left!
As for the summing up of my resolution list; I think I'll keep it simple this year, and focus on completing 2 of 3 goals that I have already set forth.
Goal 1: Reach 100,000 Gamerscore.
Goal 2: Reach 100 Completed Games.
Goal 3: Obtain 85.00% Completion Percentage.
I feel that all 3 are within reach by the years end, but as I'm introducing game after game, my percentage has fallen from 81% to almost 71%. Building it back up while maintaining good pace towards 100k GS may prove too difficult. We will see in time. Current stats for this goals are; Goal 1 - 15%. Goal 2 - 12.1%. and Goal 3 is currently at a negative, because I started it at 76% and current completion is hovering around 72%.
And for the highlight of the month: ZOMBIE MONTH! That's right, I encourage you to get as much zombie action as possible during February, because they'll always be after your brains. The agenda for this celebration includes playing the Left 4 Dead series, Resident Evil 5, a lot of Plants Vs. Zombies, and the Dead Rising series. Other off-brand titles may emerge into our lineup. Movies include rewatching the entire Resident Evil film series (including the animation film), 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, and possibly other off-brand films. A side project may also be in the works to help take this years Zombie Month up to a whole new level. Until then, enjoy as much undead action as there is to be enjoyed because there's no better time to than ZOMBIE MONTH!
