New Year

Progress: 32,010 G

Recently Accomplished:
100% Viva Pinata
100% NBA 2K6
100% Arkadian Warriors [XBLA]
100% A Kingdom for Keflings [XBLA]

"Achievement Unlocked: 5 for 1000". It's pretty funny how easy NBA 2K6 was for me to 100%. And before anyone jumps to conclusions, I plan to earn every achievement possible. Think of it as collecting Pokemon- You gotta catch 'em all, not just the easy or the hard ones. So no I'm not playing it for "quick & easy gs whoring." I'll complete it some day, so why not get it over with?

Viva pinata was a lot of fun to play, although I did have to let the game idle for the second half of the 50 hour achievement. Arkadian warriors was a fun, diablo-esque game, but rather short. Same can be said for A Kingdom for Keflings; rather short. Nevertheless, all fun games and all added to my completion pile.

I dominated my goal for 30,000 G by New Years, exceeding it by over 2,000 points (It's only 8:23 and I'm not yet done earning ach's for tonight.) I roughly calcuated that my total obtainable Gamerscore from all of the games that I have played/currently own but haven't played just yet total at 65,000 G. I believe, and don't quote my on this, I may set a personal goal to achieve 60,000 G out of the possible 65,000 G. It will be rough, but we'll see how it goes and if that is a viable option. (Some games that are included in that 65k are Perfect Dark Zero, very tough 100%, and many games with endurance/viral ach's such as Guitar Hero 3 and Need for Speed Pro Street. Also, Devil May Cry 4, a very tough game. So it may not be a possibility for me!)

Either way, cheers and New Years!

30K

Progress: 30,000
Goal 1: 30,000 G (100%) [DONE]

Recently Accomplished:
100% Marble Blast Ultra

It looks so sexy. 3% towards my goal of 1,000,000. It's not much, but it certainly is pretty. I've spent the past few days working on a slew of new XBLA games, including Paper Boy, Marble Blast Ultra, Pac-Man, Arkadian Warriors, A Kingdom for Keflings, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 & Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Galaga, and Assault Heroes.

I've also introduced all of the games I currently own onto my gamercard, so I can start working towards 70% completion by Feb. 1st of next year. Just adding the games lowered my completion from 69% to roughly 58%, and it will possibly go lower. A more thorough update will be seen around New Years, so see you then!

Upgrade Extreme

Progress: 28,595 G
Goal 1: 30,000 G (95.31%)

Recently Accomplished:
100% Ninety-Nine Nights

YES! N3 is completely finished, at last. This brings my total retail complete to 12, and arcade to 2, topping it at 14 completed games. It was a 4-hour long struggle to finish three seperate careers at 5 A.M. on Dec. 19th, but I made it. I feel like a giant weight has been lifted!

Now, to more recent news. MONEY! I finally recieved my loan check from college for roughly $700, and boy did it go fast. I paid off my outstanding debts, roughly $140, and stopped by at BME for a good game hunt. I ended up dropping $52 for Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Rayman Raving Rabbids (3R), and Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Feeling kind of spendy even after those two events, I wanted to stop by Wal-Mart and see if I could grab a new computer mouse/keyboard. That's when a sleek $100 15" computer monitor caught Faith's eye. I was ready to buy it, given that I am currently using an ANCIENT Sepctrum 7 Glr. If you don't know, google it. After a few seconds of hype, Faith mentioned; "Lets go look at TVs!" , because I am also using a very ancient 17" RCA CRT. Being very, very outdated, I agreed. It's been hard to read these new games so I was down for an upgrade.

Lo and behold, a shiny $298 Vizio struck us both as the right choice, and as spontaneous as it comes, we bought the damn thing. And boy, I have no regrets. I also picked up 4,000 Microsoft Points, and Faith agreed with split Dragon Age: Origins with me, which she is currently beasting on our new TV. I also got the mouse I came for, but not the keyboard :)

So I've added four new games, and the possibility for games I currently own (such as The Last Remnant) because of the more clear TV. With the MSP, I bought Crystal Defenders, Assault Heros, Galaga, updated my Avatar with some new gear, Resident Evil 5's 'Versus Mode' DLC, a new Koenisegg CCX for Need For Speed: ProStreet, and still left with about 1,600 MSP. I'll probably get a few more arcade games, or Dragon Age's DLC if it seems worthy. Cheers & New Years!

P.S.: I've cut Infinite Undiscovery from my goals, because I want to enjoy the game a bit more considering I powerhoused all three playthroughs in about a week. So I'll stretch that achievement out. Until next time!

Amazing Discount

Just a minor update, so progress will not be recorded. :O

Last night Tiz called me and asked how I wanted the $20 he owed me. I told him that we should visit a local game store (Book & Music Exchange) to check out whats avaliable.

After arriving, he began chatting up a friend of his, as I quickly darted to the 360 section with Faith. Moments later, I appeared in front of him, with no less than 7 games. 7 games, for twenty dollars! (Actually, it was about $32.) Anyway, I went discount-sale crazy, and picked up a few titles for only $3.95 EACH! They include..

Blue Dragon ($9.95)
Rockstar's Table Tennis ($3.95)
Rockstar's Table Tennis ($3.95) [Yes, I got two copies, for online ach's.]
World Championship Poker: All In ($5.95) [It was Faith's choice, not mine]
Prey ($3.95)
Prey ($3.95) [Two copies, for the online ach's. This copy Tiz bought for himself.]
NBA 2K6 ($3.95)

Somehow, the total only came to about $32. Don't ask me, I only listed the prices above from what they were advertized. Perhaps the actual cost was cheaper? Either way, I have 5 new unique games to add to my collection, and I strongly believe I will be able to conquer my goal of 30,000 G by January 1st.

Expect a full update tonight~

Cheers!

Move It! Move It! ... Never Again.

Progress: 26,500 G
Goal 1: 30,000 G (88.33%)
Goal 2: Infinite Undiscovery's 'Filthy Rich' (34%)

Recently Accomplished:
100% Madagascar Kartz

Moments ago, my gamertag was graced with the completion of Madagascar Kartz; an annoyingly sucky go-kart racing game, for kids. 505 G was where I stood this morning, and Tiz was nice enough to let me borrow it for a few days to finish it off. Well, I did. And I'll never have to hear that stupid catch-phrase ever again. Until MK 2 comes out. (God forbid.)

Yesterday was also a productive day. I completed the rest of the Mini-kit and Gold Brick collecting in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Sure, I still have blue kits, and superstories left, but with only one achievement, I feel motivated to polish it off soon.

As for what's next; I'll dive BACK, ONCE AGAIN, into Ninety-Nine Nights, hopefully gaining the last achievement. I'll also try some more on IU, but it's quite boring. The start of my Luxor 2 Expert mode playthrough begins on Sunday, and I hope to knock out a few ach's here and there in X-Blades and Perfect Dark Zero. Starting new classes in college next week, so work will be easy, and gamerscore will be too!

Cheers!

Completionist

Progress: 25,040 G
Goal 1: 30,000 G (83.46%)
Goal 2: Infinite Undiscovery's 'Filthy Rich' (31%)
Goal 3: Assassin's Creed II (100%) [DONE]

Recently Accomplished:
100% Assassin's Creed II

After struggling for almost an hour trying to find the last Feather (hidden item) in ACII, I realized the map provided within the guide book was faulty and missing one single feather marker. Annoyed by this, I resorted to the internet and successfully located the feather within moments of the page loading. Topping off another game, ACII is 100% and ready for the DLC to launch.

I regret to inform, however, I do not feel I will be able to reach Goal #1 on my list. I will of course continue in my attempt, but succeeding is feeling progressively impossible. 5,000 GS in roughly 20 days is going to be a challenge with my current game selection. We'll see what happens!

Gaming list at the moment consists of cleaning up some multiplayer ach's in Perfect Dark Zero, doing as much as I can in X-Blades, completing the last few levels of Luxor 2's Easy mode, finishing the main story in Sega Superstars Tennis, and of course Infinite Undiscovery's 'Filthy Rich' achievement. A lot on my plate, I best get to it.

Getting Even

Progress: 24,200 G (!!)
Goal 1: 30,000 G (80.66%)
Goal 2: Luxor 2 (100%) [DONE]
Goal 3: Infinite Undiscovery's 'Filthy Rich' (26%)
Goal 4: Assassin's Creed II (20%)

Recently Accomplished:
100% Pac-Man Championship Edition [XBLA]
Glory of Osiris Achievement in Luxor 2
DNA Sequence 4 of Assassin's Creed II Completed (Woohoo?)

Just a moment ago, I achieved the Glory of Osiris in Luxor 2 by perfecting every bonus round. This was the lone achievement that has been ruining my gamerscore for a quite few days now. With an even'd out score, I can laugh in the faces of Tiz and Faith as they stare blankly at the odd-ending scores of theirs. Sadly however, I am only 110/200 for Luxor 2 and I'll have to deal with that another time.

Yesterday night I was able to sit down and grind through some Pac-Man levels and collect the remainder of it's achievements, topping it off at 200/200. Exciting. It is a fun game, and I am somewhat sad to see it beaten so easily. In an attempt to round out the rest of my XBLA disc, I'll try my hand at some more Boom Boom Rocket; but this game is tough. I'll also pickup the last few ach's in Feeding Frenzy, and start some UNO with Tiz sometime later in next week. Woohoo for no odd numbers!

Minor Update

Because I have missed so much time writting here in the last two weeks, another minor update is in order.

For my Luxor 2 goal, I am currently on Stage 10-3. (31/88 Levels Remaining), and at a score of 6,410,800. Keep in mind that there is an achievement for 280,000,000 total score. I am, however, not working towards this ach at this time. After I even out my gamerscore (by completing Easy Mode), I'll slowly contribute towards the 280M ach off and on between other games.

I believe when Faith gets off of work tonight, I will begin Assassin's Creed II. Tiz has been pressuring me into it, but because Infinite Undiscovery has drained me so much, I haven't felt up to it, until now.

Speaking of the two, their war seems to be continuing as strong as ever. Of course Tiz recieved a free two weeks to gain even more of an advantage while Faith was in Florida. He managed to gain (this is an estimation; don't yell at me over this Tiz.) roughly about 1,400 Gamerscore, putting him 12,466 G. Faith, although determined, is still below the 10K mark but she's gaining momentum as she recently 100%'d Lego Indiana Jones. She started her journey in Grand Theft Auto 4 today too. Good luck! Go Faith!

Currently standings:
Tiz: 12,466 G
Faith: 8,656 G
a deficit of nearly 4,000 G.

Lost Soul

Progress 23,687 G
Goal 1: 30,000 G (78.95%)
Goal 2: Luxor 2 (62%)
Goal 3: Infinite Undiscovery's 'Filthy Rich' (10%)
Goal 4: Assassin's Creed II (0%)

For the past two weeks, I have officially sold my soul to Infinite Undiscovery. In a little over 10 days, I have beaten the game 3 times and picked up every last achievement, spare Filthy Rich. Clocking over 90 hours of gameplay, I sleep and dream Infinite Undiscovery; It's making me sick, but I'm glad I'm nearly finished with the game! Alls left is to earn 99,999,999 Fol (in-game currency), which is more of a boring time waster than hard or complex.

I've neglected many things this past week, nutrition, my girlfriend, hygiene, you name it. Thankfully, I have my soul back, and Faith is back in town. So no more 70+ hours of Xbox a week for me!

Over the next few days I will be beginning Assassin's Creed II, and finishing up Luxor 2. I'll also try to reach the 99 million Fol in IU.

NEW GOAL: 100% Infinite Undiscovery
NEW GOAL: 100% Assassin's Creed II

Vacation, Repair, Turkey

Progress: 23,072 G (Makes me want to cry)

Recently Accomplished:
Screwed my GS over big time.

Since it's been a few days since the last update, theres much to talk about.

For starters, last week I set upon myself a new goal of 30,000 G by New Years. With less than 7,000 to go, and just over a month, I'll have to crunch to complete this task.

I also have set upon myself as of a few hours ago a new goal for New Years; 100% Luxor 2, the XBLA game. After hearing Tiz complain about it, and watching Faith spend hours on it, I realized it's high time for me to indulge myself and see what all the fuss is about. Well, I dug my ditch deep this time. With 88 levels, 3 difficulties (that do not stack!), and at 10+ minutes a level, it'll be a real task to finish this game off. From now until New Years, I'll update my progress in this game.

A few days ago I also started my trek into Square Enix's Infinite Undiscovery; a game I've had my sights set upon for quite some time. With only 15 hours of game play, I've nearly completed my Normal difficulty run-through. I've also picked up a majority of the achievements, such as situational bonuses and complete/IC related ach's. Hopefully before Sunday (Nov. 22) I'll have my Normal run-through completed, and perhaps even my Hard run.

All of this is in preparation for Thanksgiving, which is approaching rapidly. Faith is currently out of town, so this gives me ample Xbox 360 time, which means I need to cram for the 30k G. I'm currently using Tiz's spare Xbox, because mine and Faith's disc drive is completely shot. I'll be shipping it off within the next few days, but until then I'll still be using Tiz's 360. Thanks Tiz!

Progress: 21,675
Percentage: 49.37%

Recently Accomplished:
100% Clive Barker's Jericho
Halo 3: ODST Campaign Completed

I'm a bit late with the updates, I've been busy these past few days.

I would like to say that I did complete my goal of 50% by the 8th. I completed Halo 3:ODST's campaign on saturday, and within the past 8 hours I've started and 100% completed Clive Barker's Jericho. I also played some Left 4 Dead, and Madagascar Karts, which is why my percentage has dropped down below 50%. Eitherway, with ODST I broke 50% and that's all that matters at the moment. I'll shoot to raise my % sometime later, as for now it's 30k GS by new years. TrueAchievements.com says it'll take 184.4 GS/day to reach that goal, so I'm going to get going!

Current Games:
Soul Calibur 4
Call of Duty 3
Madagascar Karts
Ninety-Nine Nights (Still...)

Improvement

Progress: 18,760
Percentage: 46.15%

Recently Accomplished:
100% The Orange Box

Before I started this webpage, I had completed nearly the entire Orange Box. All of Half Life 2, Episode 1, and Team Fortress 2. All I had left was the challenge achievements for Portal (Gold/Silver/Bronze), and the last two achievements in HL2:Ep2 (Neighborhood Watch & Defense of the Armament). In a rush to complete Tiz's games, so I can give them back, I went for the Portal Ach's and succeeded despite my gut feeling of sure failure. I was also disenheartend by the last two in Ep2, but alas they came easier than expected. It did take some patience, as Portal froze at every load several times, wasting a good 40 minutes. Either way, I take a huge sigh of relief as another game is added to the 100% pile.

Madness

Was going insane for the past 9ish hours, cursing where the last 3 Templars could be, if it was a glitch, if I would have to restart my game save, etc.

Alas! I finally found the last Templar, at 5:42 AM; Assassin's Creed is 100% complete. Finally!

As for the update, I didn't achieve much throughout to night/this morning...so far. I'll probably give a full blown update tomorrow sometime, since I decided to pull an all nighter.

Game List for the remainder of awakeness;

Soul Calibur 4, N3 (Ninety-Nine Nights), and maybe Viva Pinata.

Cheers!

Six Days Left

The rush is on, it's game fever time. In light of Assassin's Creed 2's release, Tiz and I have decided to clean up AC1 as soon as possible, as the release date is only two weeks away. There are also only six days left before I must be 50% completion, which is going to be a big crunch.

Tiz, who had basically no progress in AC1, began his session last night and is roughly 1/3rd the way complete, where as two days ago I tried to clean up the remainder of my Jerusalem Flags, and missing Templars. I have just three of each left, and I'll get around to searching for them later tonight (which will give me 100%, for the record).

As for the past two days, Faith and I have continued our run through Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

I'll probably give a progress update later tonight, as I haven't completed much today yet. Some CSI and Soul Calibur 4? Yup.

Race Update

I feel that, since they are both currently at work, now is the best time to update their progress.

Faith: 6,481
Tiz: 7,761

Last night they shared a few hours playing XBLA Compilation Disc, visiting such games as Uno and Luxor 2. This is great, that their race isn't ruining their fun gaming time; but it is messing with my sleep :(.

Next on Faith's plate is to finish Oblivion, even if I have to force-feed her.

Keep at it guys!

Sickly

A quick update:
Progress: 18,055 G
Precentage: 44.4% (18,055/40,650)

Despite feeling down and flu-ish the past two days, I've managed to achieve quite a few memorable feats for myself.

Just a moment ago, I decided to give Aegis Wing (Free XBLA Game) and the achievement "Ace" (185,000 points) a random try. To my success, I cheer at 188,710 score, the achievement, and another game 100% completed. It did take determination, as I killed nearly every enemy physically possible on Normal mode. Definitly something to remember, and rub in my friends faces :P.

Note: You may or may not have noticed that, if you were following the calcuations, the %age sounds wrong. I did some housekeeping and deleted some games that I had no interest or ability to play anymore (such as Shrek the Third). This altered my %age a bit, I believe boosting me from a starting 40ish to 42%, without gaining one achievement. Sorry if you think it's a cheap way of getting a better % :)

P.s.: Happy 28th birthday Jake!

Precentage Goal

Because I am an avid completionist, I would love to raise my precentage. Buying a new game almost weekly, it's hard to keep up; so I'm going to re-visit some older games and start cleaning house. There is a downside however; Some games I do not own anymore, such as Rock Band 2, and I only earned one achievement. This of course will lower my rate, so I'll have to work harder on the games I do own. I also cannot get DLC for most of the games I have due to lack of cash at the moment.

Currently: 17,650/43,850 G
Percent: 40.25%
Goal for Sunday Nov. 8th: 50%

eBash Gaming Hub

Progress: 17,650

Recently Accomplished:
100% Air Bender: TBE
50% Fight Night Round 3

Today I stepped outside of my regular gaming area (My room) and visited a video gaming center where you pay a monetary fee to play as many games as you can stomach for a set period of time. It's called eBash.

Doing this opened up more game options; such as Air Bender: TBE. The easiest 1,000 gamerscore in the world. I also spent about an hour and a half on Fight Night Round 3, which is a decent game. The play is alright, but it feels a bit slow-paced.

The rivalry between Faith and Tiz seemed to die down when Faith became discouraged at Tiz's GS gaining rate, so she aptly quit the race, for a day. But upon visiting eBash and conquering the 1,000 GS on Air Bender, her motivation went through the roof as she started playing Peter Jackson's King Kong, and continued to play it for several hours. Tiz enjoyed the new installment to his favorite game series; Need for Speed Undercover; a stunningly good game.

Their race is going strong as Faith is running through Soul Calibur 4 as I type.

Faith: 6,066
Tiz: 7,335

...a modest difference.

Gaming Day

It is a fresh saturday morning, and I plan to spend some time with some games.

My priority today will be Soul Calibur 4, X-Blades, and maybe finish off Project Gotham Racing 4's career mode.

If I start feeling it later, I might level up in Enchanted Arms, or even Infinite Undiscovery; but I'm not sure yet. Either way, gamerscore time :).

Uncivil Rivalry

As sure as the wind blows, achievements will be earned. Throughout my Xbox 360 career, I've influenced several friends of mine to become more knowledgable about gamerscore and it's meaning. I, myself, have even discovered some things here and there too. Recently, I suppose I rubbed off onto my friend and girlfriend.

They have decided to start a G-war (Gamerscore War). Though I love a good competition, I cannot really compete considering their extremely busy lives, so it is solely (for now) between them two alone. Although, he does claim he will catch up to me. Ha.

It started off with roughly him having a 700-point advantage, and as last week and the week before progressed, the gap grew and shrank at critical moments. He is currently in the lead, sad to say. He even gave her a crutial 3-day weekend to play catchup, but she failed to accomplish much :(. I think her strategy of 'surprise' isn't working out so well...so far.

Him: 6,130
Her: 4,701

Goodluck Faith & Tiz!

P.s. Hope either of you catch me ;).

The First Steps

In beginning my career-goal to reach the infamous 7 digits in gamerscore, I have set aside patience and heartache to endure whatever possible to achieve this feat. No achievement left behind is a good theory I will be attempting to incorporate into my goal-action plan, assuming I have the capabilities. There will be some unobtainable, such as the terrible Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter's "World Champion" achievement. Google it if you don't already know what it is.

The beginning was simple;
